If you employ five or more staff you must keep a written record of your fire risk assessment.

- Hazards
- People at risk
- Reduce or remove risk
- Keep records
- Keep your policy up to date through regular assessments
Steps you will need to consider: –
- Emergency exits
- Detection and warning
- Fire fighting equipment
- Safe storage of dangerous substances or their removal
- Evacuation plan
- Vulnerable people if applicable
- Other people on the premises
- Staff training
